Despite reported issues between Steve Austin and WWE, Vince McMahon is still interested in having Austin perform at WrestleMania 32 in Dallas next year. It was said this week that Vince wants to do The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar unless he can get Austin locked in. Austin is said to be a long shot but if they can get him to agree to a deal, Vince is interested in doing Austin vs. Lesnar and save Rock vs. Brock for a future date.
This would then leave Triple H vs. The Rock for WrestleMania 32. Part of the reason they had Triple H go over Sting at WrestleMania 31 was because it would push Triple H vs. Rock next year as the bigger match over Sting vs. The Undertaker, if both were to take place next year.
It’s been noted how Ronda Rousey and Stephanie McMahon would likely be involved in Rock vs. Triple H if they weren’t able to work their own singles match. Another similar angle that’s been discussed is if they do Rock vs. Brock next year, is to have Rousey in Rock’s corner and Heyman in Lesnar’s corner.
It should be noted that many variables can change what they’re thinking this far out but Vince is working on plans for next year and is confident they have enough star-power to fill AT&T Stadium.
