The Rock Finished with WWE?, Backstage News on His Status

Posted by Eric Arrington December 12, 2013 7 Comments

It’s been reported in recent months about how there hasn’t been much certainty regarding The Rock’s WWE future. There was talk of him appearing at Hell In a Cell from his hometown of Miami to kick off a WrestleMania XXX angle but obviously that never happened and it doesn’t look like he will be returning for next year’s big event.

The talk at Monday’s Slammys RAW was that the fact there wasn’t even a pre-recorded message featuring The Rock, in case he won a Slammy which he did, is very telling about his current status with the company. It was mentioned at RAW that there are currently no plans to utilize him any further.

Really? How do you two figure this? The Rock’s been injured everytime he’s wrestled with WWE recently, and his last injury screwed with his filming of Hercules. It’s not unlikely he’s choosing to stay away so he can focus on his movie career, and it’s likely a smart move.

Or maybe WWE has driven The Rock away by offering him SHITLOADS of cash for every appearance and having him look like an unstoppable god whenever he’s on screen. God forbid, if I was in that position I’d be driven away as well.

WWE is concentrating on creating new stars. The Rock is concentrating on movies. It isn’t hard to tell this is a story blown out of proportion.

@Jasper Griffin it’s not to hard to understand you idiot! if it was for money he would of never came back to wwe because he was making 10 times more than what wwe was giving him. if wwe officials didn’t shoved their heads to their asses, he would love to be at wm 30.

He could pop in for the rumble…but he’s got bigger stuff going on right now with FF7 being in limbo after walker’s death. If they have to scrap the movie and reshoot it completely that will tie him up further and he can’t risk being injured further after the hamstring injury he sustained at mania that he bitched about for months lol

The Rock is a natural good looking physical wrestler. By the way, most wrestlers use powder mixture, to pump up their physicality, and the WWE come up with this best picture of him. Yoou killing me Larry King.
